During and after pregnancy
A pregnancy is a transformative period and involves hormonal changes in your body. A relatively large amount of things happen in a short period of time. On the one hand, this can bring joy and happiness, but fears, insecurities, and worries can also arise. It is possible that you become physically and mentally unbalanced as a result. Issues such as tension in your lower back, headaches, painful restless legs, sleeping problems, and extreme fatigue can arise.
After childbirth, women need time to recover. Both your hormones and physical body are working hard to find a new balance. You probably sleep less because you are caring for your baby. This probably asks a lot from your mind and body. Finding the energy for your recovery can be a big challenge during these times.
Body Stress Release can be a godsend to reduce the built-up stress and tension. It will help you regain confidence in your body and in the birthing process.
For babies and children
During the birthing process, there is a lot of pressure on your baby’s skull, neck, and spine. Imagine what it would feel like to squeeze yourself through a tight tunnel. This has a lot of impact on your baby’s body. Because your baby comes into the world so open and pure, they are in a symbiotic connection with those around them during the first stage of life. This vulnerability ensures that your baby senses a lot and cannot yet distinguish between themselves and those closest to them. The transition from womb to earth is huge for your baby. Your newborn baby receives an overload of new stimuli to process after birth. As a result, your baby may have built-up body stress.
This can manifest itself in, among other things, lots of crying, poor drinking, overstretching, lots of spitting up and suffering from stomach cramps.
Body Stress can build up in children of all ages. It is not just limited to babies. Children can easily take on tension from their immediate environment. This tension can be unconsciously stored in their bodies. When this tension cannot leave the body, children may suffer. They may have difficulty sitting still, have difficulty processing stimuli, suffer from concentration problems, or experience hyperactivity. By releasing muscle tension through Body Stress Release, communication from and to the brain can be improved as the nerves are given more space. This creates a positive effect on overall physical relaxation and concentration.
In general, babies and children respond fairly quickly to BSR, as the build-up of muscle tension is still short-lived.
During the treatment, your baby lies with you or your partner on your belly. The touch is done with the fingertips and is extremely effective; often, only a few treatments are needed.

Regularly going for a Body Stress Release session is not only relaxing but allows the body's self-healing ability to be stimulated.
After an accident or surgery
If your body is dealing with acute trauma, such as a (car) accident, this can result in body stress. First of all, it is important to be sure that nothing is broken or damaged. Once this has been ruled out by a doctor, a release can help free the body from the muscle stress created by the accident.
Surgery can result in emotional and mechanical stress from the unnatural twisting and lifting of the body and from the body lying for a long time. There can also be chemical stress from any anesthesia and narcosis you may have received.
During the consultation, I do not work directly on the operated area but focus on promoting recovery instead.
