My journey

From a young age, I absorbed a lot. My mind was constantly in overdrive, and it was hard for me to keep up with the pace of the rest of the world. In high school, it became clear that I needed more time to recharge after a busy day. As I grew older, I noticed that overstimulation and fatigue became more common.

Thankfully, I still managed to get my degrees and a job in sales. From the outside, everything seemed in order; I had my white picket fence and was happy, or so I thought.

But my body kept sending signals. Periods of extreme fatigue and physical pain, especially in my neck and shoulders, began to occur more frequently. To the point that I could no longer get out of bed. Only later did I understand that my body had been trying to tell me something all this time.

After a long quest for relief, I found Body Stress Release. This technique helped me tremendously. The physical pain disappeared, and I began to enjoy life again.

A new phase

When I became Scottie’s mom in 2019, I became aware of even deeper layers of tension in my body. Despite all the work I had already been doing on self-care, there was still much to discover. These insights brought me closer to myself and showed me again how strong the connection between body and mind is.

My passion for horseback riding

After 15 years, I decided to pick up horseback riding again, which had always been a passion of mine. I was looking forward to getting back in the saddle, but it was harder on me than I had thought. My body had changed, and my balance was off. While riding, I felt I was holding tension in my posture; clenching my legs, tightening my shoulders, and stiffening my arms. It made me more aware of how my body reacted to stress and tension while riding.

Body Stress Release helped me release tension and improve posture and balance in the saddle. Rediscovering my passion for horses and riding has taught me that when space is created in your mind and body, you can feel and enjoy yourself again. This process of returning to myself has strengthened me not only physically but also mentally. It has reminded me of how important it is to listen to your body, both in daily life and while riding.

Body & mind in balance

My experiences have taught me that the body is always striving for balance and self-healing. When something doesn’t feel right, your body immediately sends a signal. My biggest life lesson has been the awareness and acceptance of this. Thanks to this, my life is now much more balanced.
